Buckle Design Styles

Each buckles design is hand drawn and engraved. Therefore each design whether it's bright cut engraved or overlay scrollwork, each buckle will be 1 of 1.

Design Style

Overlay Scrollwork

In overlay scrollwork, the scrolls and floral elements are individually sawn and soldered onto the buckle surface. This process creates a layered look with strong contrast and a sense of depth, giving the design a bold but natural feel.

Traditional Engraved Design

This example features engraving cut directly into the buckle surface. Finish options include bright cut for a cleaner look or antiqued for added contrast and depth.

Polished Finish

A polished finish leaves the surface clean and reflective, allowing the engraving and metal itself to create contrast through light. This finish has a crisp, traditional look and highlights fine detail without added patina.

Antiqued Finish

An antiqued finish darkens the recessed areas while leaving the raised surfaces lighter, increasing contrast and depth. This finish gives the piece a more aged character and tends to wear in naturally over time.
